Influence magnifies impact. Knowing your identity in Christ means discerning whose voice you follow and which lane you run in. Jesus said, “Let your light shine before others.” You don’t shine by accident. You shine by listening to the right voice and staying aligned with your calling.
Influence magnifies alignment. Paul warns, “Bad company corrupts good character” (1 Corinthians 15:33). If you follow the wrong voices, you won’t just drift; you’ll lead others with you. Be mindful of your influence, “walk with the wise and become wise…” (Proverbs 13:20). You become like what you follow and in turn others follow your example.
Living as an influencer isn’t easy. Even the best athletes struggle with consistency. Stephen Curry is known for composure, but he’s human. A bad call. A hard foul. A tight game. Emotions rise. Reactions happen. That’s where influence gets tested. Shining your light isn’t a one-time decision; it’s a moment-by-moment discipline.
God calls you, places you and entrusts you with pressure-packed moments to shine. Influence is more about consistency than perfection. Every time you reset. Every time you choose the right voice. Every time you step back into your calling. Your light shines a little brighter.
