When Jesus exposes your sin, what is your response? Do you hide? The shocking thing about this king is that he loves to deal with sinners. In fact, it’s your weakness that attracts him to you. Run to your Savior!
How does Jesus’ gentleness toward you affect how you respond to others? Reflect on his gentleness toward you, especially places where you feel entitled or defensive.
Where are you struggling to trust Jesus? Because Jesus dealt with your biggest problem – separation from God due to your sin – you can trust him to take care of everything else in your life.
Where are you using God rather than worshiping Him? People in the temple were using God for personal gain. We often use God for control, affirmation, comfort, or safety from suffering. God is not a means to an end. He is your King.
