A Christian competitor is a thankful competitor. Every time you step into competition, your heart should explode with thankfulness, because you are abundantly grateful for God’s blessings.

Competition has positive moments and negative ones too. In either one, God calls us to compete with thanksgiving.

Are you thankful that you can compete? There are three areas we should be grateful for: We can learn about ourselves. We can bring out something incredible in others. We can bring honor to God

Competitors want the victory, why else would we compete. We have to be careful that those victories don't turn to idols or pride. The key to being humble in victory is being thankful for victory.

It may not be easy to find the reasons to be thankful when we lose, but it is worth the effort. More importantly, our God is worth the honor when we give Him praise.

The opponent is not an enemy to be defeated but someone loved by God. We compete to win and at the end of game we want everyone to feel respected and honored for their talents.

When we display our best, in competition and life, in obedience to Him, we give God glory.
