Day 1

Connecting to Christ and Others

Tracks

November 14, 2025

Move from disconnection to connection to find true victory.

READY

“Remain in me, and I in you. Just as a branch is unable to produce fruit by itself unless it remains on the vine, neither can you unless you remain in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in me and I in him produces much fruit, because you can do nothing without me.” - John 15:4-5

SET

In the fast-paced world of sports, it’s easy to get caught up in the game—the noise, the pressure, the crowds, the stats, the wins, and the losses. Every day, it feels like everyone needs something. This pace can lead to burnout, frustration, and a desire to check out. But disconnecting isn’t the answer.

God’s plan is for us to stay connected to Him and each other. So, how do we move from disconnection to connection?

We must look to our Heavenly Father. In the beginning, humans suffered eternal separation from God because we chose to eat the forbidden fruit, but He loves us so much that He sent His Son to bring us back into a relationship with Him. When I step away from the crowds, the noise and the hurry to focus on Christ and trust Him, the Holy Spirit is born in me, and I connect with Him and my brothers and sisters in Christ.

As I stay connected to Christ, He changes me from the inside out, and I bear fruit that lasts through every season! The fruit I bear (love, joy, peace, kindness, patience, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control) proves I am His disciple. I can’t do this on my own. I need Him, and I need His people. When connected to Christ, I can lead my family, my team and my community. With Christ at the center, our teams will find strength, unity, and purpose to carry them through every challenge. May this be a season of moving from disconnection to connection—not just with the game, but with one another and Christ. This is how we find true victory!

GO

  1. Are you feeling the urge to disconnect? What practical steps can you take to step away from the noise and reconnect with Christ?

  2. What fruits do you see in your life as a result of staying connected to Christ?

  3. Why is it important to be part of a community of believers also connected to Christ?

OVERTIME

“Heavenly Father, thank You for proving Your love for me through the sacrifice of Your Son on the cross. Help me prioritize my life so that I can stay connected to You. May my life reflect the fruit You bear in me and may the way I lead my family, and my team bring You great joy! In the name of Jesus, amen.”
