Greater Potential: Finance

Seeing the greater potential in your finances can be hard when coaching is so unpredictable.

Proverbs 11:25

When it comes to finances, it can be challenging for a coach and his or her spouse to see the greater potential with so much uncertainty in the coaching profession. Often the two biggest influences in making decisions as a couple are the competing voices of faith and finances. Do you give or save? How much should you give and where? All these questions can cause stress and anxiety in a marriage. What if I told you that God has a greater plan for your money that involves living a generous life with what He has given you?

As a coaching family, you pour into others all the time. I don’t know many other professions that demand more of one’s time and talents than coaching. Because of the unpredictability of the profession and the stress it can have on a marriage, it can be difficult to trust God in the area of finances. Proverbs 11:25 tells us that if we live a generous life, we can be refreshed. I’m not saying you’ll always have more than you need, but God has a way of meeting your every need when you trust Him. Philippians 4:19 says, “And my God will supply all your needs according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” God owns it all. He will provide for you when you submit your life, marriage and finances to Him for a greater impact.

  • In your finances, are you having difficulty trusting God and His Greater Potential for your marriage?

  • Do you see the greater potential for God to grow your faith through your finances?
