The Word of God is just as powerful today. FCA wants to challenge you to read the Word of God and follow Jesus with all of your heart. When you read the Bible each day with a humble heart, the potential for God to use you to change the our culture is just as real as it was for Josiah. Read it. Trust it. Do it.
Dig Deeper
Take a time out while reading to dig into the Bible. Below are different ways to dig deeper each day. These practices will encourage understanding. Try a single idea for a week to find what works best for you. Remember to keep a pen and paper ready to capture God's insights. Or use the Notes in the app to capture insights as well.
Mark new discoveries from text. Highlight verses that teach you something new or stand out to you.
Ask and answer questions. Ask questions about the passage using these words: who, what, why, when, where or how. Jot down your answers to these questions.
Capture the big idea. God's Word communicates big ideas. Periodically ask, what is God saying in this verse, passage or chapter?
Personalize the meaning. Respond as God speaks to you through the Scriptures. Ask: How could my life be different today as I respond to what I'm reading?
